DARC Labs: The First Filipino non-profit harnessing AI to make universal healthcare a reality

DARC Labs is using artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to make healthcare more accessible for all Filipinos. Each donation will go a long way towards supporting our work in rapidly detecting Liver Cancer, COVID-19, and other common Filipino diseases.

Donations will be used to cover costs not included in our grant from our lead funder: Secure storage of research data (offline and online) to prevent misuse of private health information.

Logistics and travel costs of our project managers and scientists when meeting implementation partners and visiting project sites.

Further research and information dissemination on unique AI model for COVID-19 in the Philippine setting.

CHESTER AI: An AI-Powered Chest X-Ray App That Detects COVID-19 Pneumonia

Long turnaround time of RT-PCR tests are hampering mass testing efforts around the world. Artificial Intelligence can alleviate this problem. DARC Labs has created CHESTER AI - a web app that returns a person's probability of having COVID-19 based on their chest X-ray.

This project will ensure our country doesn't lag behind in implementing a proven COVID-19 mass testing strategy. After clinical testing and FDA approval, CHESTER AI will be usable by hospitals and physicians all over the country. Our solution will alleviate bottlenecks in mass testing and optimize the current system in the following ways:
